Ardis Gadeken Obituary (1939 - 2024)

Ardis Jean Gadeken, 85, passed away on March 13, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and joyous memories. Ardis was the first of four children born to Lester and Henrietta McLaughlin on January 16, 1939, in Lake City, Iowa. She was raised and attended school in Storm Lake, Iowa. She later attended Buena Vista College where she graduated from business school with a degree in secretarial skills. Ardis was a devoted partner, first to Harry Kenneth Roberts, whom she married in Omaha in 1958, and later to Henry Gadeken of Talmage, Nebraska, whom she married in 1967. Her marriage to Henry spanned 57 glorious years, filled with love, respect, and mutual admiration. Ardis was a loving mother to Randy, Kenneth, and Dennis Roberts. She was a woman of many talents. In her leisure time, she enjoyed entertaining friends, square dancing, playing cards, and attending music jams and rodeos. She is survived by her husband, Henry Gadeken, and sons Randy, Kenneth, and Dennis Roberts. She was preceded in death by her father, Lester McLaughlin, mother, Henrietta Gadeken, and late husband, Harry Roberts.
