Betty Eckert, 81, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2022. Born September 30, 1941, in Lincoln, Nebraska to Leonard and Marie Krcmarik Sr. Betty graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1959. She worked in Nutrition Services at Lincoln Public School from where she retired. Betty enjoyed working in her yard and gardening.

She is survived by her son, Larry Nichols (Cindy); grandchildren, Nichole Casey, Cherie Nichols (Kyp), and Amber Ayubzai (Ajmir); eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Leonard Krcmarik Jr. (Colleen); and many nieces and nephews including, Marsha Barton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Carolyn Marie Barton.

Funeral service is 1:00 PM, Monday, December 19, 2022, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 5200 R Street. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln.
