Beverly Berner, 85, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at The Monarch in Lincoln, Nebraska. Funeral will be at 1:00 pm, Monday, June 18, 2018, at East Lincoln Christian Church, 7001 Edenton Rd. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Lincoln, NE. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.Memorials may be directed to her family for a later designation.Condolences can be left at www.lincolnccfh.com.Beverly was born December 19, 1932, in Beaumont, Texas, the daughter of Dennis and Helen (Johnson) Toups. She graduated from French High School in Beaumont, Texas. Beverly married Johnnie Berner in 1984 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was a member of East Lincoln Christian Church and the Shim-Sham Senior Tap Troupe in Lincoln, Nebraska. Beverly enjoyed reading, gardening, and dancing.Beverly is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Wilder of Seattle, WA, and Dina Bynum of Nebraska City, NE; step-daughter, Sherry (Mike) Harris of Topeka, KS; Step-son, Jerry Berner of Randolph, NE; seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; siblings, Helen Bowen, Dennis Toups, and Joyce Thorn.
