Lincoln, Nebraska
David Joseph McClain-Jones, 24, passed away in an automobile accident in Lincoln on May 12. Seriously injured in the accident was his Mother Kristie Jones who is recovering at home.
David's priorities were his family and his music. Growing up David and his siblings spent a lot of time in Colorado with his Nana, Papa, and cousin Logan. David and Logan were best buds for very many years. He met Prudence in high school and from the moment he met her he knew she was his forever. David and Prudence were married in 2016 and later had their son Opie and daughter Octavia. His wife and kids were his world along with his music. He was preparing for his first audience performance with 3 new songs he composed. One of his big supporters in everything growing up was Lane. A best friend that turned into a brother at heart. He loved riding motorcycles and was working on rebuilding one. David was a true friend for many and readily helped whenever and for whatever his friends needed.
David is survived by his beautiful family: Wife Prudence, son Opie, 4 and daughter Octavia, 9 months. David is the son of Mike and Kristie Jones and has 7 sisters: Kyrstyn (Tony) Lubben, Heather (Marcus) Hochstein, Heidi Jones, Krista (Alex) Gardner, Jessica Helenhouse, Maggie (Jon) Ewoldt, Mollie Joens-Matson and 5 brothers: Michael (Ariane) Joens, Lane Hames, Jeremy Woo, Tim Woo, Matt Woo; Grandparents, David "Papa" (Barb) McClain, Neva Holstein, Cheryl (Allen) Doudna and Karen Jones; Numerous nieces and nephews.
