Donald McNeil

–

Lincoln, Nebraska

Donald Leon McNeil, affectionately known to many as Donnie or simply Don, was born in Lincoln, on May 17, 1955. Donald brought joy and laughter to the world with his unique blend of humor and charm. He was the kind of guy who could light up a room with his wit, a dedicated friend, a loyal family member, and a reliable colleague. He was also a true Lincolnite at heart, living his entire life in his beloved hometown.

Donald was never one to shy away from a challenge. His career at Midland Medical as a delivery driver was a testament to his hard work and dedication, always ensuring that medical supplies arrived on time, every time. When he wasn't working, you could find Don shooting pool, cheering on the Husker football team, or immersing himself in his music and art. He loved his mother endlessly, a love that guided him throughout his life. His love for comics was only surpassed by his love for dogs, always ready to share a funny dog story or comic strip. The love Don had for his family was immeasurable.

He is survived by his siblings, Charles and Jewel (Dan) Mick; 6 nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred McNeil.

The memorial service for Donald will be held on Thursday, 22 Aug 2024 at 2:30pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, located at 5200 R Street, Lincoln, Nebraska, 68504.
