Jack (Icek) Somers Obituary (2000 - 2022)

On Tuesday, November 1st, 2022, Jack Icek Somers, loving son and brother, passed away at age twenty two. Born April 7, 2000 in Lincoln, Nebraska at St. Elizabeth hospital. Icek was a fun-loving young man who loved to laugh. Icek earned a high school diploma at East high school and attended the Independence academy for three years. Icek was silly, loving, energetic, and the most pure in heart. Icek was best known for his fascination for plants, nature and walking the park trails. He loved to be outside and loved water. When not outside, he enjoyed cutting random papers and boxes with scissors. He would watch YouTube musical videos and random tv shows. In short, Icek was a pure soul who loved the simplistic things in life. Icek's favorite things to eat was a wide variety of things but chocolate pie and oreos were his go to. Icek was best known for his smile and contagious laugh. He was loved by everyone. Icek would pick the simplest things in life and break it apart to find it's simple beauty. Icek's fierce determination to explore his environment is what kept everyone who looked after him on their toes. He is survived by his parents, Jack and Thais Somers. His sister, Thalia Helena, Maternal Grandmother - Dora Bron, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded in death by Paternal Grandparents Jack and Loretta Somers; Maternal Grandfather Manoel Schechtmann. A celebration of life service will be held on a later date.
