Jerry Edward Knowles

Jerry Edward Knowles, 77 years of age died Saturday evening March 17, 2018 at Gateway Vista Assisted Living in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was born on July 22, 1940 in Beatrice, Nebraska to Robert John Knowles and Marjorie Elizabeth (Ellison) Knowles. He was married to Lorene (Waltke) Knowles in 1960.Jerry was employed as a carpet layer for Carpet Land for many years in Lincoln, Nebraska and owned Knowles Carpets in Beatrice, Nebraska for several years. He was a member of the Nebraska National Guard at Beatrice, Nebraska and served as steward for his church in Lincoln, Nebraska. Jerry was avid fisherman and loved to visit with friends and family.He is survived by his sons, Scott A. Knowles of Mt. Vernon, Washington and Bradley R. Knowles of Beatrice, Nebraska; brothers, Larry R. Knowles and wife Clara and Steven R. Knowles and wife Margaret (Maggie) Knowles all of Beatrice, Nebraska; Nephews, Christopher L. Knowles, Ryan T. Knowles and wife Amy of Beatrice, Nebraska; niece, Heather R. (Knowles) Korn and husband Edward J. Korn III of Trenton, Tennessee.He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. and Marjorie E. Knowles; and one brother Ronald D. KnowlesPrivate Family services will be held at a later date.A Memorial has been established to the family for designation at a later date.
