JoAnn Masters

JoAnn Masters, age 91
JoAnn was born in Woolstock, Iowa to George and Mayme Mourlam, and was raised on a small farm with her three siblings, Richard, Lois, and Sharon.

Her childhood education was in a one room schoolhouse. She graduated from high school in Clarion, Iowa and attended St. Paul Bible College in St. Paul, MN where she graduated in 1953 with a degree in Christian Education.

She worked one year after graduating from college and soon after married Edward Masters on July 24, 1954. JoAnn and Eddie were married for 68 years before his passing on January 31, 2022. Together, they lived in Stratton, NE, Brunswick, NE, Dixon, IL, Sidney, MT, Blairsburg, IA, Fremont, NE, and Lincoln, NE.

She is survived by her three children, Colleen Ehly (Dan), Connie Masters (John), and Bruce Masters, her daughter-in-love, Jeannette Masters, and grandchildren Paige Masters, JT Ehly, and Brittany Ehly.

JoAnn was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandma. She was beautiful inside and out, always putting others first. She will be remembered as compassionate, hardworking, supportive, a great cook, and having an infectious laugh.

A private family burial will take place on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
