Judith Ann Brhel

–

Lincoln, Nebraska

Judith "Judy" Brhel, 89, passed away peacefully, on September 23, 2026, surrounded by her family and friends.

Born on October 6, 1936, in Superior, Iowa, Judy grew up alongside her three sisters.
In August 1954, Judy married Richard "Dick" Weibye in Eagle Bend, Minnesota. Together, they had four children: Elaine, Christopher, Natalie, and Mary. Following Dick’s passing in January 1969, Judy met Alvin Brhel. They married in August 1974, expanding their family to include Alvin’s two children, Dennis and Amy. Judy and Alvin shared many years together until his passing in 2015.

Judy raised her children to be independent, capable, and confident. She took pride in keeping a neat and tidy home, enjoyed family visits, and was always excited when a new grandchild was born.

Judy and Alvin completed two mission trips to Ghana, Africa, teaching local communities how to farm and bring equipment to increase productivity. Judy loved playing with the local children, bringing them dolls and toy tractors, and later shared these experiences with her grandchildren’s classrooms.

Judy was a talented seamstress who loved music, held a quiet, steady faith, and enjoyed playing board games and card games. Judy was an avid sports fan, especially Nebraska Women's volleyball. She faithfully tuned in to her radio to listen to the games.

Judy is survived by her six children, along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
