Lyla M Wagers Obituary (1961 - 2018)

Lincoln resident Lyla M. Wagers, 56, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, 01/04/2018, at her home. Lyla M. Wagers was born April 19, 1961 in Hebron, Nebraska the daughter of Lyle and Iris (White) Wagers. She graduated from Shickley Public Schools with the class of 1979. She moved to Lincoln and worked at Metromail, at Lancaster Manor, and recently was a bartender at The Keg.Lyla enjoyed playing fast pitch softball and pool in her younger days. She was an avid Husker fan. She cherished her nephew and great nephews. Lyla was a prankster and a people person, she never met a stranger. She was a member of Shickley United Methodist Church in Shickley, Nebraska.Lyla is survived by her mother, Iris Wagers of Shickley, NE; sisters, Patricia (Dee Maddox) Wagers and Peggy (Dale) Arp all of Lincoln, NE; nephew, Richard (Lisa) Fushia of Longmont, CO; along with great nephews, Christopher, Matthew, and Nathaniel.She was preceded in death by her father, Lyle Wagers; and brother, David Wagers.
