Margaret J Vineyard Obituary (1926 - 2015)

Margaret Joanne (Judy) Vineyard passed away on January 24, 2015 at Southlake Village Care Center in Lincoln. Margaret was born at Topeka, Kansas on April 24, 1926, the daughter of William and Florence (Tarbell) Rankin. She graduated from Topeka High School and attended Kansas State University. Margaret Joanne Rankin and LeRoy Vineyard were united in marriage on August 30, 1947 at Marysville, Kansas. The family lived in towns in Kansas where Lee served as the County Agent, until moving to York in 1952. The family lived in Colorado in 1962 when Lee's National Guard unit was activated. They lived in Atlantic, Iowa 1981-1998 and lived their remaining years in Lincoln, Nebraska.Margaret enjoyed her family, and kept busy raising six children. She enjoyed family gatherings, shopping, travelling, reading, and bridge night with her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee and their daughter Susanne. Margaret is survived by daughters Paula (Roy) Baker and Melissa Vineyard; sons Bruce, Brian (Jan), and Todd Vineyard; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; sister Dianne (Tom) Kingsley of Topeka, Kansas.
