Robert Lee Davis was born to Dewey Lee Davis and Emma Anna Mohr Davis on March 17, 1928 in Burwell, Nebraska. He passed into eternity, and through salvation in Jesus Christ alone, entered heaven October 21, 2020.\nHe joined the United States Marine Corps, July 1948 and retired as Master Sergeant December 1971 in Norfolk, VA. He served in Korea, Vietnam, Okinawa and various U.S. bases. Robert received a multitude of medals and awards during his 23 years of honorable service.\nRobert was married to Patricia Ann Spilinek on June 29, 1953 at Memorial Presbyterian Church, Marysville, KS. He is survived by 5 children, Barbara Meiss (Mike), Cynthia Salzman (Steve), Sheryl Collins (Bill), Alan (JheriKeith Alkire) and James (Stacy) and one sister, Ione Hieter. He was the grandfather of 26 and great grandfather of 39, as well as a multitude of honorary grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia of 60 years, son Michael, parents, a brother-in-law, and one grandson.\nRobert will always be remembered for his Christ-centered life filled with service and kindness. His unconditional love and helping hand to all that were around him will never be forgotten.\nRobert and Patricia were members of Temple Baptist Church in Lincoln, NE since 1955 and continuous members since 1972.\nIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Temple Baptist Church Facility Improvement Project Fund.
