Robert "Bob" "Buffalo Bob" W. Earnest Sr., 77, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018, at Sumner Place in Lincoln, Nebraska. Funeral Service is 11:00 AM, Friday, November 2, 2018, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 5200 R St. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, November 1, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to his family for a later designation.Bob was born July 23, 1941, in Emmett, West Virginia, the son of Clay and Georgia (Harless) Earnest. He attended Man High School in Man, West Virginia. Bob enlisted and served his country in the U. S. Army. He married Edith Kennedy on April 1, 1964, in West Virginia and they moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in July of 1964. Bob worked for Olson construction and Burlington Northern Railroad from where he retired in 2002 after 30 years. He enjoyed playing the guitar, horseshoes, and woodworking. Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Edith; daughter, Sherri (Gordon) Bridges; sons, Robert Earnest Jr., and Russell (Saundra) Earnest; grandchildren, Crystal Starr, Anthony Earnest, Ashley Earnest, Chaseton Tucker, Trenton Tucker, and Georgia Tucker; great-grandchildren, Hudson Starr Blake; siblings, Edward Earnest Sr., Brenda (Cecil) Johnson, and Patsy (Harold) Mullins; along with numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Russell, Jerry, Janet, Patricia, Glenn, and Betty Toler.
