Robert Allen Fahrnbruch, 61 of Hallam, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017. Bob was born to John and Vera (Cummings) on September 8, 1956 in Lincoln, NE. Bob married Heidi Cemer on May 12th, 1989 and to this union two children Tyler and Morgan were born. Bob was a wonderful husband and a loving, nurturing, and selfless father putting the needs of his family and others before his own. Bob was generous, loving, non-judgmental, faithful, and a true follower of Christ. Bob worked at the Lincoln Regional Center for 35 years. Bob loved his job and when asked if he had to work tomorrow, he would answer "I get to work tomorrow." Bob was a two time award recipient at the Regional Center, earning the Woods Award. It was a rarity for Bob to miss work for any reason, as he thouroughly enjoyed working with the patients at the center. Bob felt like it was his calling to serve those who were at the center for a short stay or long term. Bob treated them all with love and respect, and in turn they showed him the same admiration. Bob's most important relationship in his life was his personal relationship with his Savior. Bob was a man of great faith, he not only read the word of God daily but he lived it daily. In speaking with Bob you would immediatly realize that Bob's faith and devotion to his God was of the utmost importance in his life. He would freely share his faith with others in hopes they would experience the relationship he had with God. Bob's strong faith shown through and helped to get him through the trials of this earthly life. Leaning on his Creator, he was eager to go home and spend eternity in Heaven. Bob was a lover of music, primarily praise and worship music, for it was one more way he could worship his father. Bob's example of how to be a Godly servant, was a blessing to all who knew him. Bob did not know a stranger, he welcomed all who he met into his heart and life. Thorugh the years Bob amassed a large circle of friends whom he considered to be his extened family. Bob was an ever present force in their lives, providing support, a shoulder, spiritual teachings, and unconditional love.Bob had a saying, "It is what it is." Today the "it" is heartache to have him gone from our sight, but what "it is" is knowing that Bob is rejocing and worshiping at the feet of his Savior that makes "it" easier.Bob is survived by: his wife of 28 years, Heidi.
