Lincoln, Nebraska
It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of Ronald A. Hinman, who left us on January 2, 2025. Ronald was born in Scottsbluff, NE, on December 22, 1961, and was a longtime resident of Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a smart and talented welder in the automotive industry. Ronald was known for his wit and resilience, demonstrating these qualities throughout his life.
Ron, as his friends would call him, had a passion for rebuilding cars, collecting model cars, and assembling intricate train sets. He had an extensive collection of collector's coins, a testament to his attention to detail and keen eye for value. Ronald's dedication to his craft was evident not only in his professional life but also in his hobbies. He was an extremely hard worker, a trait that extended to all areas of his life, including his dedication to his family. As Helen Keller once said, "Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved." Ronald embodied these words, demonstrating courage, resilience, and determination in all he did.
Ronald was the beloved father of Derek and Megan Hinman, who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Mary Hinman, and his sister, Pamela Peterson. What mattered most to Ronald were his cars and his family. His love for both will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
We invite all who knew Ronald to share their memories of him and upload photos to his memorial page. His life was full of love, laughter, and hard work, and these shared stories and images will keep his spirit alive in our hearts.
