Scott Elliott Dorsheimer

Scott Elliott Dorsheimer, passed away, unexpectedly, Thursday, May 25, 2023, in Lincoln. Born on August 23, 1971, in Montezuma, IA, son of Dennis and Nancy Dorsheimer. His accomplishments and passions served as a testament to his character, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Growing up in Montezuma, Scott was baptized at the Jackson Church of Christ. He graduated from Montezuma High School and went on to attend the University of Iowa in Iowa City. His thirst for knowledge and determination to succeed led him to graduate from the University of Nebraska with a masters degree in accounting. Scott's hard work and commitment to excellence in his field culminated in achieving his goal of becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Scott married Tyanne Elisabeth Hundt on December 23, 2017, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He had two children from a previous marriage Grant Coryell and Bryce Elliott.

Scott's life was enriched by the love of his family, including his wife, Tyanne; children, Grant and Bryce; parents, Dennis and Nancy; sisters, LeAnn Classen of Meade KS and Dawn Scanlon of Newton, IA; nephews, Logan (Liz) Green of Tacoma, WA and Joseph (Alyssa) Karnes of Tracy, IA; nieces, Malesa (Brock) Springer, Randsom Classen all of Meade, KS, Emma Karnes, and Anne Pruiett both of Newton, IA; along with five great-nieces.

He had a close relationship with his uncle, Daryl Dorsheimer of Atlantic, IA; aunt, Janis (Jeff) Kunze of Knoxville, TN; and cousins, Tonia Shaw of Knoxville, TN and Eric (Jamie) Kunze and their children.

Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Scott's life on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 11:00 am for a visitation at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 5200 R Street, Lincoln, Nebraska. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Yankee Hill Cemetery, Lincoln, Nebraska.
