Terance Vincent (Terry) Filbin Obituary (1953 - 2017)

Terance (Terry) Filbin passed away at his home in Lincoln NE on Saturday November 25th after a four-year struggle with kidney failure and heart disease. Terry was born August 29th, 1953 at the Oakland US Naval Hospital in Oakland CA. He grew up in Heartwell, NE and spent his high school years in Kenesaw, NE where he graduated in 1972. Terry retired in August 2013 after 40 years with BNSF. The family wishes to thank all of Terry's BNSF brothers for their support and concern during his illness. A particular thank you goes out to Pat Ewald for rising early to get Terry to his dialysis sessions. They would also like to thank the staff of Graceful In Home Healthcare for making it possible for Terry to stay at home during his final months of life. He is survived by siblings and their spouses; Angela & Mark Butterfield, Renalda & Bill Wittig, Thomas Filbin, and Bianca & Loyd Wiley and nieces and nephews; Leah Butterfield, Sarah Filbin, Michaela & Tanner Wiley and his surrogate niece and nephews Seth, Ben & Grace Gauthier. Terry is proceeded in death by his mother, Phylis Filbin, father, Maurice Filbin, and brother Tony Filbin.
