Lincoln, Nebraska
Theresa Kay Hoff, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, passed from the earth to her heavenly home on April 17, 2023 at the age of 65.
Terri was born on January 12, 1958, to Harold Reiser & Sheila Reiser in Bamberg, Germany while Harold served in the Army. The family returned to Butte, NE to raise their family. Terri graduated from Butte High School in 1976. The next year, she gave birth to her oldest son and to ensure a better life decided to join the Army herself. Honorable discharge soon brought that to a halt and she came back home. While searching for her next adventure, she met the love of her life over the CB radio! Terri and Bob married on December 30, 1982.
Together Bob and Terri had 3 children and lived in/around Norfolk, NE. Terri was busy keeping the home running while Bob was trucking. She had a successful in-home daycare for close to 20 years. In 1997, Terri and Bob "retired" to follow their dream of owning their own hobby store. They moved to Sioux Falls and opened HobbyTown USA. Terri really blossomed there. She had a knack for talking to people, learning new hobbies and getting others interested about the things she was excited about. In her spare time, Terri loved doing puzzles, collecting elephants and spending time with her kids/grandkids.
In 2015, another era came to a close when the door locked the final time at HobbyTown. Bob passed to heaven soon after and Terri was devastated. She stayed in Sioux Falls for a few years but decided to move down to Lincoln to be close to family.
Blessed to have shared her life are her father & stepmother, Harold & Sharon Reiser, children, Bradley (Sheila) of Sioux Falls, SD, Matthew (Heather) Miller of York, Angela of Omaha, Andrew (Samantha) of Lincoln, and Timothy (Rachel) of Springfield, 8 grandchildren: Breanne, Mikaela and Kacie, Paeton and Kallen, Lillian, Savannah and Jaxin. Sisters Hope, Carolyn & Michelle. Step siblings Nancy & Chris Reiser. Many nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends and customers.
Theresa was preceded in death by her loving husband Bob, her mother Sheila, brothers James and Randall, and brother in law Jim.
