Uranuia May Turner, 95, formerly of Creston, Iowa passed away in the early morning hours of December 26th, 2020. \nShe was born to Earl and Rose (Burk) O'Neil on November 1st, 1925, in Cainsville, Missouri. She moved with her family at a young age to Creston, Iowa. As a child, she enjoyed going to school and spending time with her siblings Orlean, Pauline, and Pat. \nUranuia married Wayne Turner and together they had five children. They were married over 66 years until his passing in 2007. Uranuia held many jobs over the years, in addition to raising her children, she worked at several factories and owned several businesses in Creston. Uranuia was always ready for a new adventure, if that was learning to water ski in her 60's, learning to use a computer in her 70's, or moving to Lincoln, Nebraska in her 90's. \nUranuia enjoyed many things including flowers, music and traveling. She was always quick with a smile and could entertain her friends and family for hours with her stories. Uranuia loved her family with her whole heart and we loved her with all of ours in return. She will be dearly missed by so many. Uranuia lived life in her own time, on her own terms and she left this world in much the same way. \nUranuia is survived by Steven Turner of Las Vegas, NV, Dennis Turner of Round Rock, TX, and Rodney (Ellen) Turner of Lincoln, NE, as well as 16 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and 39 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her husband, Wayne Turner, daughter and son-in-law Sharon and David Johns (Creston, IA), son Kenneth Turner (Quitman, MO), daughters-in-law Rebecca Turner (Las Vegas, NV) and Marianne Turner (Round Rock, TX), great granddaughter Rebecca Turner, and dear friend Warren "Nick" Nichols (Creston, IA).\nA private graveside service will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Creston, Iowa. \nMemorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to the family for future designation.\nDue to COVID-19 all services are private.
